Where are all the UK podcasts…

I do not understand why the photographic fraternity/professionals in the UK hasn’t tapped into the massive Market of podcasting…

All I can find are podcasts from the states TWIP, LensWork, The Candid Frame, Photofocus and Martin Bailey. Added to this you have the live video feeds that can be downloaded to watch at a later date, Twit photo, The Art of Photography, Fine art photography, Photo espresso and Chase Jarvis, the list goes on.

It seems to me that when there is something out there to sell the Americans jump on it and do a very good job as all… All the above mentioned podcasts which you can download for free from iTunes are superb. Informative, thoughtful, comical and up to date.

So why do we in the UK have to tap into the America podcasts. Where are our photographers and commentators gone. Photography monthly tried but have gone off air – something must be a foot there… I’ll have to wait and see what happens there… Don’t bring cost as a factor and argument into this either… All the above mentioned podcasts from the states are sponsored by various companies in the digital business.

I’ve heard several UK photographers complaining of how difficult the Market is to sell their work ‘cos loads of people have cameras now and aren’t worried about a fee for their images. Well here is a tool that if you UK professionals put yourselves out to do, could make you a little bit of extra cash. Podcast, live video feed and get your word out so that the amateurs can learn from your experiences… So come on Uk photographers and commentators get your podcasts out there for us to listen to what you have to say, photographically this side of the pond… Don’t just rely on your grandiose coffee book! Get yourself sponsored – you probably are already – and podcast very week…

If I had the knowledge I’d do one myself…
